Title: News on Season 7 Premiere
Post by: AdminMeg on July 06, 2010, 06:52:08 PM
Fancast posted the following article about the season 7 premiere. Word is that it's only going to one hour long. Slightly disappointed by that.  :( Was hoping for a 2-hour bonanza as usual.

Bummer! Only 1 hour? Oh well, September is still 2 months away. Time can change things around... I hope. unsure

Oh an hour :(
Might not be enough Calzona scenes then, but maybe they are focusing on the aftermath of the shooting??
Oh well, bring on September! :)

If season 7 still has 24 eps, than I don't really mind, cause it means a shorter hiatus, somewhere on the road. But if this means 23 eps (just losing an hour), than.... WTF?!?!  pinch

I hope more Calzona scene... ;)

According to TV Guide:

The new TV season is heating up as TV's top shows search for new names to attract more eyeballs. As if it didn't have enough eye candy already, Grey's Anatomy has feelers out for a sexy actor to play Andrew Perkins, a forty-something trauma counselor.

Wonder if the format will be similar to I Saw What I Saw, where every character takes turn on the therapist couch? I am not too keen on an hour of that. Hopefully, there'll be more interaction between series regular compared to between the characters and the therapist.

You're right Meg, an hour of watching everyone taking turns on the therapist couch is not my idea of interesting TV. I can understand the trauma counselor but not an hour (who's stupid idea was that) of it. I am curious to see how much time has passed since the shootings and how everyone is handling it. It should be interesting. I also need to see Jess soon because I'm getting  :vomit: of waiting. Four months of no Arizona and Callie is too much for one take.

Actually, the sides have been released on Showfax. They call for the following characters, so phew, there'll be patient cases:

Roles
Biker Dude
Cop
Donna
Greg
Mrs. Rollins
Older Woman

I read the list quickly and I thought the next to last name said Mrs. Robbins. I'm like - OMG Arizona's mother is coming!

I read it correctly but my first thought on that one was also that it stands for mama Robbins, that it could be a trick (like they use dr Howard for every doctor, they changed this one a bit to make us think it's someone who's not related)!  :D

That would be awesome!

I don't know... what if she comes over to convince a traumatized Arizona to stay with her for a while in her hometown far far away (for a couple of eps, until Jessica has her baby)?! I don't think they'll go that far - just look at Chandra, Chyler and Ellen - but you'll never know.

Besides, I don't think a visit of any familymember has really excited me yet (well except Callie's dad cause he's a great actor and it gave Callie a lot of screentime - and drama, which I love!). So I'm kinda scared that it will be a disappointment (like Alex's brother) or even a little annoying (like Bailey's father).

So help me out, what will make a visit by Arizona's family a cool visit, something to look forward to?!  :)

Ep 7.01 will be titled: “With You I’m Born Again”
Sounds like people are suffering trauma and loved ones are there to help them get through. This better counts for all couples, not just MerDer or Cristina/Owen (to name some). Could be cute... :)

BTW I've read the casting sides, Mrs Rollins turns out to be a patient. And all docs seem to be pretty messed up. Yeah, bring on the drama!  :P

"with you I'm born again" sounds also like a new beginning...  :D
I think it means that life gets another meaning for our docs!

I loooooooove drama. I'm a sucker for drama!  w00t
But once in a while - like after 8 dramatic episodes and a hiatus of 3,5 months - I really can use some cheesy "my life sucks without you"-moments as well  :D

James Tupper will join the seventh season cast of Grey's Anatomy  from the autumn, according to sources.

Entertainment Weekly reports that the 44-year-old actor, who is best known for his role as Jack Slattery on ABC's Men In Trees, will portray trauma counselor Andrew Perkins for "at least two episodes".

Tupper's recurring character will help Seattle Grace recover from its disastrous season-ending bloodbath.

Grey's Anatomy returns to ABC on September 23 with an episode titled 'With You I'm Born Again'.

oh, no.  For some reason I watched Men In Trees (I think I was hoping for it to turn into Northern Exposure) but I hated his character.  So I've taken against his character in Grey's already.

It's not exciting me for the start of the new season.  And dammit, I want to be excited for the season opener.

Sloan, Callie to Team Up in Grey's Anatomy Season Opener

Looks like Mark and Callie are teaming up on Grey's Anatomy again.

Clothed this time ... most likely. You never know with those two ...

But seriously folks. According to TV Guide, the pair performs a major operation in the Season 7 premiere. The patient in Callark's care is a 19-year-old young man who's suffering twitches and facial drooping because of an advanced tumor. Sound serious?

It is. The medical problem is so advanced, in fact, that his family has already held a living memorial for him before the surgery. Think they'll be able to say him?

These two together can accomplish anything, right?

'Grey's Anatomy': Kim Raver promises 'a great new beginning'

Kim Raver predicts Seattle Grace will bounce back from the season-capping shooting spree on "Grey's Anatomy," but it may not be easy.

The actress has returned to work as Dr. Teddy Altman on the ABC drama series, which launches its seventh year Thursday, Sept. 23. She reports that walking back onto the set after last spring's violent, intense finale -- sparked by a vengeful gunman who roamed the hospital's rooms and corridors -- prompted mixed feelings, but mainly positive ones.

"It's a great new beginning," Raver tells Zap2it about resuming the "Grey's" saga. "There are a lot of new places for the characters to go. I think everyone is very excited, because where we left off last season is a great place thematically and dramatically."

Raver credits series creator and executive producer Shonda Rhimes and her writing team with creating "this atmosphere where anything can happen, because of what the characters have been through, and that will really inject a whole new energy into a series that's going into its seventh year. I think that was just a brilliant move."

Before "Grey's" begins anew, Raver stars in the Lifetime movie "Bond of Silence" Monday, Aug. 23. Cast as a woman whose husband was killed while trying to quiet down a teenage New Year's Eve party, Raver says she enjoys having a project rest largely on her shoulders.

She surely is well-versed in ensemble work, having been prominent previously on the series "Third Watch," "24," "Lipstick Jungle" and "The Nine."

"I definitely feel very fortunate," Raver reflects, "also in the sense that I've been able to play such different people. For an actress, that's the dream, and I feel very grateful. There have been some long runs and some short runs ... and even the shorter ones were fun."

I wonder if Callie knows how AZ parents look like? Cos' if she don't I think it would be "fun" if they whould come to Seattle and visit AZ and where in a car accident and end up at Seattle Grace and Callie where one of the doctors that get to treat them, and then figure everything out with there names?  Cos my biggest wish this season is that Callie's mom, dad and sister visit and that AZ parents come to Seattle so they all can meet.

Grey's Anatomy Season Seven Premiere Pics: "With You I'm Born Again"

Grey's Anatomy fans have had the summer to process the events from the season six finale, which included an armed gunman almost killing Derek.

When this show returns on September 23, we'll watch as various hospital staff members try to do the same. Will they be able to move on? What will be the consequences of such troubling events? Who will make a dramatic, spontaneous decision that affects all around him? And is THIS really happening for Cristina and Owen?!?

ABC has released the following photos from the seventh season premiere, titled "With You I'm Born Again."
Owen, Cristina and Meredith

Owen, Cristina and Meredith are in the foreground of this photo. They are gathered in the hospital to listen to Derek speak.

Giving a Hand
(http://static.tvfanatic.com/images/gallery/giving-a-hand.jpg)
There's little to cheer about on the season seven premiere. But Jackson and Little Grey give a round of applause in this photo.

Listening to a Speech
(http://static.tvfanatic.com/images/gallery/listening-to-a-speech.jpg)
It will be a long road back for Meredith and Cristina on season seven of Grey's Anatomy. Let's not forget how season six ended.

Arizona, Callie and Owen like what they are hearing in this scene. It's courtesy of the seventh season finale.

Seriously Troubled Patient

Yikes! No offense to this patient, but look at this individual's face. It's a bit scary.

Derek with a Patient

Derek rushes back into surgery to kick off season seven of Grey's Anatomy. But he's got a lot of issues to still work out.

Making a Big Move
(http://static.tvfanatic.com/images/gallery/making-a-big-move.jpg)
Why is Derek signaling to Richard in this season seven photo? Maybe because Richard will soon be the Chief again.

Grey's Anatomy
SPOILER! Grey’s Anatomy Wedding Secrets Revealed

After surviving the shooter rampage that claimed the lives of two doctors at Seattle Grace Hospital on the season finale of Grey’s Anatomy, Cristina (Sandra Oh) and Owen (Kevin McKidd) realize that life is too precious — and will tie the knot during the show’s Sept. 23 premiere on ABC.

“It’s very surprising,” Oh tells PEOPLE. “Hopefully it will make sense [to viewers]. After something as obliterating as the shooter comes in, when push comes to shove Owen says, ‘I want to spend my life with you.’ It’s almost clearer and easier to make that decision.”

Of course, this isn’t the first time Cristina was about to say “I do.” In season 3, she and Burke (Isaiah Washington) nearly tied the knot. But in the end he backed out, leaving her heartbroken in her wedding dress.

Things are very different this time around. “When she was about to marry Burke many of the decisions weren’t really hers,” Oh says. “She never wanted to get married or wear ‘the dress.’ Having a much more relaxed and casual wedding is closer to who she and Owen are.”

The happy occasion was well-received by all the actors on the set of Grey’s, but perhaps not for the reasons you’d expect. Says Oh, “I think people were more happy and giddy not to be wearing scrubs.” –Monica Rizzo

Sneak Peek: 'Grey's Anatomy' wedding of the year
by Michael Ausiello

I’m going to forego the customary spoiler warnings since the cat is out of the bag: Cristina and Owen will tie the knot in the Sept. 23 premiere of Grey’s Anatomy, and here’s a first  second look at the nuptials. A couple of key takeaways from the above image: The bride wears red; the ceremony takes place in Mer’s living room; and there are three people in attendance I don’t recognize. What stands out to you? And are you planning to attend the big event next week?

our girls are there;that's all that I care about :D
